Jon Eric Sprouse (Jes): President and CEO
Jes Sprouse is the founder of Sprouse Industries Inc. After a successful 20 year career in construction management, Jes
decided to pursue his passion to produce renewable fuels and improve the environment. His natural talent combined
with his engineering training from Colorado State University has enabled him to design and build viable algal growth
systems and components. Jes currently has two patents pending for algae growth and harvesting systems.
Sandra S. Sprouse - Director Of Marketing
Sandra shares her husband's passion for developing renewable fuels and improving the environment. Her Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University combined with her natural people skills make her an ideal
Marketing Director for Sprouse Industries. Sandra handles corporate communications and participates in client
development activities.
Gerard Seeley Jr. (Gerry)- Business Development
Gerry retired from a long career with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality to pursue the passion he shares
with Jes and Sandra Sprouse. His 36 years of environmental protection experience and contacts combined with his
Virginia Tech Civil Engineering degree and P.E. license helps Sprouse Industries identify and develop business
opportunities and meet environmental challenges.
John Robert Young (Bob) - Chief Finance Officer
Bob retired from a successful career with Philip Morris as a Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance / Quality
Control Manager. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Emory and Henry College and an MBA from
Montreat College. Bob uses his experience and education to advise Sprouse Industries on financial and corporate
management issues.
Gary J. Ford - Director of Operations
Gary brings over 30 years of industrial product and process development experience to Sprouse Industries. He has
developed eight patents during his career working with Reynolds Metals, AMF Corp., and his own company. Gary has a
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University. His experience and
education help Sprouse Industries develop and operate algae production, harvesting and processing systems.
